Time travel always excites a man and sparked a wealth of theories in physics. It is hypothetically moving between different points in time.
Humans experience time in a linear fashion where time travel would allow you move into the past or into the future. Imagine seeing your own future in front of your eyes!
Einstein's theory of relativity :
It is one significant theory dealing with time travel. Einstein proposed two parts.
Special relativity:
He said that time is relative to the speed at which you move. When you approach the speed of light, time will slow down for you compared to a person who is stationary. This is known as time dilation
General Relativity:
Massive objects like planets, stars bend space and time around them which causes time to slow down in areas of high gravity. This is known as gravitational time dilation. This indicates the possibility of time travel by entering extreme gravitational fields.
WORMHOLES :
These are theoretical tunnels through space-time which can acts as shortcuts between different parts of the universe. If such wormholes were to exist, it would not connect two parts ,but also two points of time.
Is time travel possible?
Time travel to the future is most accepted for of time travel. As we discussed in time dilation, moving at high speeds , or being near a massive object can make time travel into the future.Whereas time travel to the past is problematic as if you travel back in time any change you mad could have unforeseen consequences. Some theories proposed like closed timelike curves but these are still theoretical.
Though time travel to the future is acceptable, it is still theoretical.
